Flora Istanbul Map: Discover Istanbul Through Its Species

The Flora Istanbul Map is designed to introduce everyone over the age of 5 to the lesser-known inhabitants of Istanbul. The map kit includes routes where we have placed Istanbul's water basins, forests and groves with their dominant species, a biodiversity glossary, game suggestions, a sticker set and the Flora Istanbul Guide, which introduces the dominant species of the forests.

The Flora Istanbul Map features 13 forests, 16 groves, 7 water basins, and 4 botanical center routes, as well as Istanbul's historical gardens, all waiting for you to discover their species. To facilitate engagement with the routes, there are 5 cognitive and 5 sensory games, a biodiversity dictionary to expand your knowledge, and the Flora Istanbul Guide to accompany the forest route.

The Flora Istanbul Map was drawn by Gözde Eyce, the graphic design was done by Gökçe Genç, the publication design and content were prepared by Gizem Kıygı, and the route and species research was conducted by Dilara Karaman, İrem Duygu Tiryaki, Merve Tokmak, and Müge Yaylacık.

City Detective is a social initiative that focuses on children's right to live in a healthy and safe environment; it observes, documents, and creates games about the communication that children establish with the city, and cities establish with children.
