Beyoğlu Map for Children

The Historical Peninsula Map for Children was prepared to introduce everyone aged 5 and over to the history and memory of Beyoğlu.

The map, prepared as part of the City Detective's Beyoğlu for Children project, was created with the participation of children through workshops held with children from five different neighborhoods of the district. In this context, the publication also keeps a record of the image of Beyoğlu of children living in Beyoğlu in the 2020s.

The map includes routes where we have placed architectural works, inns and arcades that make up the cultural fabric of Beyoğlu, along with monumental trees, the Beyoğlu Dictionary compiled from words that define the character of the district, sensory games that will deepen children's connection with the place, and a sticker set.

Gizem Kıygı prepared the publication design and content of the Beyoğlu for Children map, while Tolgahan Akbulut created the graphic design and illustrations.
