Founded on the principles of fair sharing and equal voice in publishing, Onagöre has been producing and supporting artists in Istanbul's cultural and artistic scene since 2005. By including artists in its processes, it opens doors to experimental and innovative approaches not only in the books it publishes, but also in the processes leading up to publication.

While Onagöre's primary field of work is publishing, she also provides archiving, organization, editorial consulting, and support for various art projects. In this way, she activates a broad social network and creates opportunities for alternative economic approaches such as bartering.
